Sarah Lalonde

Bio

Sarah has always been a creator. As a child, she spent time in her grandmother’s yarn shop. There, she learned the joy of making. Over the years, she has continued to study different styles and techniques within the arts. She currently enjoys producing watercolor and acrylic multimedia artwork.

Artist’s Statement

I have walked over 25,000 miles in the past twenty-five years. Many of these walks are close to home, but others have been on different continents. Being immersed in nature almost daily has a profound influence on all of my art.

The details in my paintings come from observing plants, water, rocks, and weather patterns. Sometimes, my paintings incorporate realistic details, while others have an abstract bent.

I want to share nature's beauty so that people can be surrounded by it, even when they're inside. It offers a sense of calm in our busy world.
